  • To taste maple syrup
  • To taste powdered sugar

Preparation

Watching the sun rise from Haleakala is breathtaking. Channel that sense of awe with this unbelievable combination.
Step 1
In a bowl, whisk 1 egg. Then gradually add milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
Step 2
Cut a 2-inch hole in the center of the bread.
Step 3
Under medium heat, place oil in Teflon frying pan.
Step 4
Dip both sides of the bread into egg and milk mixture.
Step 5
Place the bread into the frying pan.
Step 6
Crack the other egg into the hole in the bread.
Step 7
Cook each side for one minute. Remove from heat.
Step 8
Lightly sauté ham and place in the center of the French toast.
Step 9
Pour desired amount of maple syrup over French toast.
Step 10
Sprinkle powdered sugar.
