With the help of his family, Ricardo was exposed to good home style cooking from a mix of cultures including Mexican, Caribbean, Hawaiian and Filipino. Recipe Details

1/4 cup butter melted

4 eggs

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon Cocoa Powder

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

2/3 cup milk

1 Loaf (16 ounce 12 Slices) KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Round Bread


Aztec Chocolate *

2 cups milk

2 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

2 egg yolks beaten

Step 1. In a saucepan, stir the milk with the chocolate and cinnamon over low heat until the chocolate dissolves.

Step 2. Add the eggs and beat the mixture until it becomes thick, taking care not to boil.

Step 3. Serve in coffee mugs or espresso demitasse cups for dipping.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Slice bread in 1 inch sticks.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix together melted butter, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and milk. Beat well.
Step 4
Dip sticks into egg mixture and place on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. If there is any dip left, you can drizzle it over the sticks. Bake for 25 minutes on middle rack of oven. Turn halfway through baking time. Allow to cool.
Step 5
Plate your French toast sticks with Aztec chocolate sauce and garnish with chocolate drops or drizzle. Enjoy!
