Recipe Details

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

3 ounces Unsweetened Chocolate

1 dash salt

1/8 teaspoon Peppermint Extract

4 Candy Canes, crushed

1 12-pack KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls

Step 1
Melt chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and salt in a double boiler then remove from stove.
Step 2
Immediately stir in 2 drops of peppermint extract to chocolate mix, then let sit to cool.
Step 3
Keeping the rolls together, slice entire package of rolls lengthwise, leaving 1/2-inch thick bottoms in tact.
Step 4
Set bread on lined cookie sheet then evenly spread chocolate ganache over the top of the KING’S HAWAIIAN roll halves.
Step 5
Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top of the bars.
Step 6
Refrigerate to let chocolate ganache set. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.

Chef Brittany Dunn says:

The chocolate ganache is going to be sticky, so when you are ready to cut the squares have some hot water in a bowl ready by your side. Dip the knife in the water, wipe water off with a towel and then make your cuts, repeating as needed. The warm knife will cut through the ganache cleaner.
