This sweet and spicy grilled burger sandwich is packed with fried sweet pineapple chunks, chipped ham that is loved in Hawaii. The spicy BBQ sauce and anything fried is down home southern good eats fit for a KING! This is the perfect combination for King's Original Hawaiian Sweet Sandwich Buns
Prep grill or large grill pan to medium-high heat
Combine ground chuck, 1 Tbsp sea salt and 1 tsp black pepper together. Form into 4 patties.
Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Top hot burgers with one slice of cheese
Meanwhile combine remaining sea salt, black pepper, flour and 1/2 of chives in a zip-lock bag. Add pineapple chunks and shake until evenly coated. Deep fry at 350 degrees for 3 minutes or until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
Heat up BBQ sauce in a sauce pan and grill chipped ham about 30 seconds on each side.
Brush buns with olive oil and grill for 45 seconds or until golden brown
Assemble sandwich: Brush bottoms of buns with BBQ sauce followed by remaining cheese slices, burger, chipped ham, BBQ sauce, pineapple, remaining chives and tops of buns.
