  • 1 pound Green Beans, cut approx. 2-inch long and stems removed
  • 43834 Onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 4 ounces Mushrooms, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2/3 cup milk or water
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 7 slices KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Sweet Sliced Bread

Preparation

King's Hawaiian bread crumbs top this holiday classic.
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Toast two slices of bread until light to medium brown and set aside.
Step 2
Blanch green beans in boiling water for 4 minutes, strain and stop cooking by placing in ice bath.
Step 3
Grease a 9-inch square baking dish with oil and place a layer of un-toasted bread on bottom. Bake for 10 minutes.
Step 4
In a saucepan place the onions, garlic, mushrooms, and some oil in and sauté for 3 mins or until onions turn clear.
Step 5
Add can of cream of mushroom soup, milk or water, and pepper to saucepan and stir until heated through and combined.
Step 6
Lay cooked green beans onto bread in 9-inch square dish, then cover evenly with the mushroom mixture.
Step 7
Place casserole in oven for 25 mins.
Step 8
Take the two slices of toast and cut into small cubes.
Step 9
Cover the casserole in KING’S HAWAIIAN bread cubes and bake for another 15 mins.
Step 10
Serve and enjoy!
