Quick & Easy Crab Rockefeller Sub

1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons shallots, finely chopped
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup white wine
1 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon Fresh Ground Pepper
1 cup grated Sharp Cheddar
2 tablespoons cream or half and half
6 ounces Dungeness crab meat, drained well or cooked crab meat
1 cup packed/chopped fresh Spinach + extra shredded for garnish
2 Green Onions, chopped
4 KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Sandwich Buns or Original Hawaiian Sweet Mini Sub Rolls
4 teaspoons Softened Butter
1/2 teaspoon Lemon pepper seasoning


Step 1
Add 1 tablespoon butter, oil and shallots to a large skillet. Over medium heat stirring often, saute for 2 minutes.

Step 2
Add flour and whisk over medium heat for 1 minute.

Step 3
Add white wine, Dijon, hot sauce,pepper,grated cheddar and cream.

Step 4
Bring to a simmer and add crab, spinach and green onions. Stir and bring back to a simmer and remove from heat.

Step 5
Spread both sides of the King's Hawaiian Mini Sub Rolls with softened butter and sprinkle with lemon pepper.

Step 6
Broil for a few minutes until toasted.

Step 7
Put four halves of the Mini Sub Rolls on each plate and evenly divide the filling mixture on top of each.
