2 large eggs lightly beaten

2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs (or regular bread crumbs)

up to one quart peanut or other suitable oil for frying

1/4 cup Unsalted butter, softened

3 tablespoons maple syrup

1 Belgian waffler (any size or shape)

1 deep fryer or heavy deep frying pan

12 KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls

Step 1
Cut each chicken breast (widthwise) into three equal sized pieces
Step 2
Thoroughly coat chicken pieces with flour
Step 3
Dip and coat chicken pieces in egg and generously coat with bread crumbs
Step 4
Deep fry or pan fry chicken pieces until crispy and golden brown on each side
Step 5
Drain and set aside on paper towels or a baking rack
Step 6
Using a hand blender on high speed, whip butter until creamy. Add maple syrup and whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Step 7
Preheat waffle iron to low heat and separate individual rolls and slice in half to form a sandwich bun
Step 8
Place top and bottoms spaced evenly on waffle iron and carefully close lid until rolls are lightly toasted and hold their waffle shape
Step 9
Spread butter onto one side of bottom and top waffled buns, place one chicken piece between the buttered sides and repeat. Makes 12 sliders.
Step 10
For added sweetness, drizzle chicken pieces with extra maple syrup before assembling sandwich.

This recipe can use any type of King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet bread depending on the size and shape of your waffle iron. If you do not have a Belgian waffler, I recommend using Kings Hawaiian sliced sandwich bread pieces instead of rolls. Regardless of bread style, toast lightly and serve immediately for best results.
