Recipe Details

1.5 – 2 lbs shaved beef (preferably ribeye)

1/2 c green onions, chopped

Salt and Pepper to taste

1 bottle King’s Hawaiian Sweet Island Ginger Sauce

1 package King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls

Step 1
Put 1-2 tablespoons of your preferred cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Season beef with salt and pepper. When pan is ready, add the shaved beef. Since the cut is so thin the beef will cook quickly and constant monitoring is recommended.
Step 3
When one side of beef is cooked, quickly turn over. Pour ½ c of KING’S HAWAIIAN Sweet Island Ginger sauce over the beef. Distribute evenly. Let it cook and caramelize over the beef. Once finished turn off heat and set aside.
Step 4
Separate dinner rolls and slice them in half. Add warm beef to each bottom half. Pending on how much meat you like in your sandwich, you should be able to yield 12 sliders from this recipe. Brush more sauce over the top if preferred, garnish with green onions and then crown the slider with the top roll.

In California we can find “shaved” beef at Asian specialty markets and even some of our regular grocery stores carry it already cut. If you can’t find it ask your local butcher to cut if for you. Tell them you want it just a little thicker than deli meat, or as you would prefer. Also, the combination of hot beef inside of King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls is a match made in Heaven. Serve hot if possible!
