6 KING'S HAWAIIAN Hamburger Buns

2 pounds Ground lamb

Salt, to taste

Ground black pepper, to taste

6 tablespoons Tzatziki sauce

2 small Tomatoes, sliced

1 Onion, sliced

Leaf lettuce

4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled

Step 1
Heat a cast iron skillet on the hottest part of the grill.
Step 2
Divide the lamb into six portions. Shape each portion into a patty.
Step 3
Place three lamb patties on the skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook each burger five minutes, flip, sprinkle with additional salt and pepper, and cook for an additional five minutes or until burgers reach desired doneness. Remove burgers from grill and repeat process with remaining three patties.
Step 4
Allow burgers to rest for 6-8 minutes. This is a very important step as resting allows the burger to retain its juices.
Step 5
While burgers rest, separate and toast both top and bottom King’s Hawaiian Buns on the grill until golden brown. Remove from heat.
Step 6
Spread 1 tablespoon of tzatziki sauce on the bottom halves of each bun. Top each with a cooked lamb patty. Top the burgers with tomato slices, onion slices, lettuce, and crumbled Feta cheese. Place the top halves of the buns on each burger. Serve.

Lamb doesn’t have a lot of fat in it, and so adding salt before cooking can dry out your burger. Instead, add salt on top of the patties as you cook them.
