King’s Hawaiian x Bing Crosby “Mele Kalikimaka” GingerBREAD House

Supplies needed:

  • One King’s Hawaiian x Bing Crosby “Mele Kalikimaka” GingerBREAD House Kit

Or

  • Four 12-packs of King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Rolls
  • White icing
  • Short and long wooden skewers
  • Tape
  • Candy decorations

STEP 1

Open four 12-packs of rolls and carefully remove the rolls from the trays, keeping each set intact. Slice all four sets in half horizontally to create eight pieces: four tops and four bottoms.

STEP 2

Use the empty trays to build the house framework: place one tray flat as the base, then position two trays lengthwise along each side. Secure them in place with tape.

STEP 3

Cut the 4th tray in half lengthwise. Tape the two halves to opposite sides of the house so they meet at the top to form a roof peak. Tape all seams securely, then set aside.

STEP 4

Next, we’ll reinforce all four bottom sections and two of the tops. Insert the long skewers at an angle to form an X in each section for extra stability.

STEP 5

From the remaining two tops, tear off the bottom row of rolls and divide into a line of four and a line of two then set aside. Diagonally cut the top two sections in half. Then insert two short skewers at an angle to stabilize the triangles.

STEP 6

Attach the bread bottoms to the house sides with frosting. Then use a long skewer to hold the front and side pieces together. Do the same for all four corners.

STEP 7

Hands holding a pack of soft, golden bread rolls.

Use icing to fix the last two full top bread sections onto the roof. Use four more short skewers to help secure the roof to the sides and reinforce with icing as needed.

STEP 8

A person decorating a bread house with cream.

Place the last two triangle pieces on the front and back and secure with icing and skewers. Lastly, place the row of four rolls on the peak of the roof and the pair of two rolls as the chimney, securing both with icing and skewers.

STEP 9

A house made of bread with decorative candies.

Now you're ready to decorate! Use icing to add snowy icicles, cozy doors, and windows. Place decorations wherever you like to make this gingerBREAD house uniquely yours - don’t forget the King's Hawaiian crown!
