Everyone at King’s Hawaiian is heartbroken over the devastating wildfires in Maui and parts of the Big Island of Hawaii. The natural disaster has left families, victims and first responders in desperate need of aid. King’s Hawaiian has deep roots in Hawaii, and we are working to support the victims and relief efforts happening on the ground. If you can join us and others in helping all those affected get the help and funding necessary to survive this tragic event that would be wonderful.

NEWS RELEASE: ISSUES VOLUNTARY RECALL OF PRETZEL SLIDER BUNS, PRETZEL HAMBURGER BUNS AND PRETZEL SLIDER BITES

King’s Hawaiian is voluntarily recalling its Pretzel Slider Buns, Pretzel Hamburger Buns and
Pretzel Bites products out of an abundance of caution following a recall of an ingredient
used in the pretzel products from one of its suppliers, Lyons Magnus. Lyons Magnus is recalling
this ingredient due to the potential for it to cause microbial contamination including from the
organisms Cronobacter sakazakii and Clostridium botulinum. While no illnesses associated with
King’s Hawaiian pretzel bread have been reported, and no pathogens have been found in any
King’s Hawaiian products to date, the recall is being conducted to ensure consumer safety.

In the last two weeks, we have seen two unrelated, confirmed COVID-19 cases at our Flowery
Branch, GA production facility and two additional cases at our Torrance, CA production facility.
As we have done in other instances, immediate action was taken and the employees, along
with those they came into contact with, have been quarantined and are being properly cared
for, and fully compensated, while away from our facility.

Since our news release two weeks ago, we have seen three unrelated, confirmed COVID-19
cases at our Flowery Branch, GA production facility. As we have done in other instances,
immediate action was taken and the employees, along with those they came into contact with,
have been quarantined and are being properly cared for, and fully compensated, while away
from our facility.

Over the last two weeks, we have been made aware of ten unrelated, confirmed COVID-19
cases at our Flowery Branch, GA production facility. As we have done in other instances,
immediate action was taken and the employees, along with those they came into contact with,
have been quarantined and are being properly cared for, and fully compensated, while away
from our facility.

In the last two weeks, we were made aware of four new confirmed COVID-19 cases at our
Oakwood, GA production facility. As in previous instances, we took immediate action and the
employees, as well as those they came into contact with, have been quarantined. All are being
properly cared for, and fully compensated, while away from our facility. As we have seen with
nearly all prior COVID cases, our contact tracing shows these cases were all contracted outside
of the facility, giving us confidence in our current safety protocols which we will continue to
employ.

NEWS RELEASE: KING'S HAWAIIAN COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

Our Torrance, CA bread manufacturing facility this past week following multiple confirmed COVID-19 cases, to test all manufacturing employees for the virus. Through this testing, we identified 34 employees who tested positive and have now been quarantined and are being properly cared for, and fully compensated, during their time away from our facilities. As a percentage of our total
workforce tested, the resulting percentage of employees testing positive is approximately in
line with the average positive test rate of LA county, per the numbers released by the Los
Angeles County Department of Public Health. This, along with contract tracing we’ve
completed, shows nearly all cases being contracted outside of the facility, giving us confidence
in our current safety protocols which we will continue to employ

NEWS RELEASE: COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to an increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases at our Torrance, CA bread manufacturing
facility, we have decided to temporarily close this location as of today (July 10th) to ensure the
safety of our employees. During the closure, all employees will be tested for COVID-19. Those
testing negative will return to work when the facility reopens in mid-July, while those testing
positive will be asked to quarantine. Employees who are quarantined will be fully
compensated.

compensated, while away from our facility.

facility before their COVID-19 confirmations, two of the three individuals have already been
away from the production facility for longer than the WHO-identified 14-day normal gestation
period.

We were informed that one of our employees who works at our Flowery Branch,
GA production facility was diagnosed with COVID-19. As a result, we have taken immediate
action by quarantining this employee and those they came into contact with. We are ensuring
that everyone affected is being properly cared for and fully compensated while at home.

NEWS RELEASE: COVID-19, HARBORGATE OFFICE

On April 3rd we were informed that one of our employees who works at our Harborgate office
in Torrance, CA in a non-production capacity was diagnosed with COVID-19. This individual had
not been in the office since March 16th (19 days ago), having called in sick as soon as they begin
feeling unwell. We have been in contact with this employee and are ensuring that they are
being properly cared for. The safety of all of our employees is our #1 concern. No other cases
have been identified in the office, and the office has been fully sanitized multiple times over the
last 19 days, as a course of the normal precautionary cleaning that we have been doing to
protect against COVID-19.
