Meli Wraps began in 2016 when Melia Foster realized that she would have to be the change she needed to see in the world. Melia was finding more plastic trash than shells on the beaches of her home in Kaua'i, Hawai’i. Believing that her children deserved a better world than that, she and childhood friend Nicole committed to helping people replace single-use plastic food wraps with stylish and sustainable beeswax food wraps to help preserve and protect the Hawaiian oceans and 'aina (land).

Meli Wraps are made by hand with GOTS-certified organic cotton, beeswax, tree resin and plant oils. The plant oils keep food fresh and the beeswax allows the cotton to stick to most foods and dishes. The wraps can be washed with cold water and soap and can be used up to 150 washes or one to two years.

In addition to reducing use of plastic food wrap for the good of the planet, Meli Wraps also supports small Hawaiian businesses by using high-quality, locally sourced materials and crafting locally with lots of aloha.
