Neens from Ono Yum
Neens grew up in the island-style communities of San Diego. Far from Hawaii, but close to plate lunch, surfing and ukulele jammin, Neens is the creator of the Musubi Map and the I Love Poke Festival, both vehicles that reflect his passion for all things Hawaiian. He was raised on local-style home cooking thanks to his Mom, Gles, also known as the Filipina Betty Crocker. This recipe is one of Neens’ favorite dishes that he grew up eating, courtesy of his Mom. Thanks, Mom!
Recipe Details

8 All beef hot dogs

1 jar/can Nacho cheese sauce, heated

8 ounces sour cream

1 jar Jalapenos

2 large Tomatoes, chopped

1 Green onion stalk, chopped

1 package KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Hot Dog Buns

Step 1
Cut about 5 slits into each hot dog for faster, more thorough and more appealing grilled hot dogs. Then grill hot dogs.
Step 2
When hot dogs are about finished grilling, throw your KING’S HAWAIIAN hot dog buns on the grill over indirect or low heat to toast.
Step 3
Build your hot dogs in this order: Bun, nacho cheese, hot dog, tomatoes, green onions, jalapenos and sour cream!

Neens from Ono Yum says:

Use squeeze bottles for your sour cream and nacho cheese. This makes for easier and much cleaner application, however, if you’re nacho cheese is hot, be careful when handling the squeeze bottle!
