Amber Thibaut grew up as the daughter of a waterman on the island of Maui. After she left the island for college and career on the mainland, her appreciation for Hawai'i grew stronger and she cherished her youthful memories of long days on the ocean–diving, surfing and fishing. Amber eventually returned to Maui to start a family.

As she was nursing her son one evening, she reached for the pareo she used as a swaddle and was inspired to design a pareo that had a connection to Hawai'i and deep devotion to 'ohana– a pareo that would be cherished as a baby keepsake. Coco Moon was born that night.

Coco Moon Hawai'i now designs buttery-soft baby essentials inspired by memories of a childhood in Hawai'i. They take their responsibility to community and environment seriously, packaging items in fully biodegradable cassava starch bags whenever possible and donating a portion of all proceeds to Hawai'i based non-profits doing powerful work for the environment and children.
