THE GARDEN ISLE

Anahola Granola’s story is also the story of its founder, Becky. Her first batch of granola was made in the 70’s on an old ship’s stove in a log cabin, where she lived as a caretaker on a remote private island. During the 80’s, she moved to a small house tucked into the deep canyon in Anahola Valley on the east side of Kaua'i, Hawai'i. There, she often served her granola to friends who remarked on its light, crunchy sweetness and inspired her to sell it through Kaua'i.

Anahola Granola’s first kitchen was part of a day program for people with disabilities and Becky’s very own Deco Gecko Café followed a few years later. She sold the café in 1992 and, six months later, Hurricane Iniki devastated the beautiful island of Kaua'i. With no tourism business at home, she began distributing the granola throughout the outer islands of Hawai'i. It’s been thriving ever since.

Throughout its 30 plus years history, the recipe for Anahola Granola has never changed and neither has its commitment to fresh, local and natural ingredients for a tropical inspired taste sensation.
