- 1 package KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- Pork Belly :
- 1.5 lb/ 680 g pork belly
- 6 tbsp/ 88 ml vinegar
- 6 tbsp/ 113 g salt
- 1.5 tbsp/ 13 g peppercorn
- 9 cloves of garlic
- 6 bay leaves
- oil for deep frying
- Spicy Soy Glaze :
- 1.5 cups/ 350 ml soy sauce
- .75 cup/ 175 l rice vinegar
- 1.5 cup/ 300 g brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp/ 7 g minced garlic
- 1 1/2 minced Thai chili, to taste (optional)
- 1.5 tsp / splash sesame oil
- Pickled Cabbage :
- 1.5 cup/ 350 ml warm water
- 1.5 cup/ 350 ml vinegar
- .75 cup/ 151 g sugar
- 3 tbsp/ 57 g salt
- 1 large purple cabbage, thinly sliced
- Garnish for sliders: green onions
