  • 1 package of KING'S HAWAIIAN Sliced Bread
  • 1/2 cup Waffle Batter
  • 2 slices Black Forest Ham
  • 1 oz Gruyere Cheese
  • 1 tsp Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Apricot Jalapeno Jam
  • 4 ea. Raspberries
  • Jalapeno Apricot Jam Recipe :
  • 1 ea. Jalapeno
  • 3 tbsp Apricot Jam
  • 1 tsp of Water
  • 1/2 tsp Olive Oil

Preparation

Preparation

Step 1
Turn waffle maker on to medium-high heat.
Step 2
Build the sandwich by placing one piece of King’s Hawaiian sliced bread on a cutting board
Step 3
Spread 1.5 T of apricot jalapeno jam on top (recipe below)
Step 4
Place the black forest ham on jam.
Step 5
Very thinly slice gruyere cheese and cover the ham fully.
Step 6
Spread another 1.5 T of apricot jalapeno jam the other slice of King’s Hawaiian sliced bread and then close the sandwich with jam side down.
Step 7
Place 1/4 cup waffle batter in waffle iron then place sandwich on batter.
Step 8
Place 1/4 cup batter on top of sandwich and close waffle machine.
Step 9
Using the handle press firmly down on sandwich to compress the sandwich as firmly as you can for about 2 minutes.
Step 10
Then let the sandwich cook for an additional 2 minutes on its own until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted

Let the sandwich rest on cutting board for an additional 2 minutes.
Step 12
Garnish with raspberries and dust with powdered sugar.

Jalapeno Apricot Jam Recipe
Step 15
Slice jalapeno's into thin rings and sauté in a small pan on medium heat with olive oil.
Step 16
When jalapenos are cooked, add apricot jam and water.
Step 17
Continue to heat while constantly stirring.
Step 18
Heat till all the apricot jam has completely melted.
