Slice bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Toss in olive oil, season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a hot pan, grill peppers and onions until onion slices are nice and caramelized.
Grill bratwurst low and slow, until fully cooked. Be careful not to “pierce” the sausages while cooking as hot liquid might squirt out of the bratwurst.
