  • KING'S HAWAIIAN HOT DOG BUNS
  • 2 pounds Lean ground beef
  • 2.5 tablespoons Chili powder, divided
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Jalapeno, seeded and diced
  • 4 Cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 14.5 ounce can Crushed tomatoes
  • 19 ounce can Kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 14.5 ounce can Diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1.5 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Hot dogs
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
  • Green onions, for topping

Step 1
Combine ground beef and 1.5 tablespoons chili powder In a large pot
Step 2
Brown ground beef, onion, jalapeno and garlic
Step 3
Drain any fat
Step 4
Add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil
Step 5
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 45-60 min or until chili has reached desired thickness
Step 6
Top with cheddar cheese, green onion, cilantro or other favorite toppings
Step 7
Place grilled hot dogs into King’s Hawaiian hot dog buns
Step 8
Add a heaping spoon of chili topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
