Neens from Ono Yum
Neens grew up in the island-style communities of San Diego. Far from Hawaii, but close to plate lunch, surfing and ukulele jammin, Neens is the creator of the Musubi Map and the I Love Poke Festival, both vehicles that reflect his passion for all things Hawaiian. He was raised on local-style home cooking thanks to his Mom, Gles, also known as the Filipina Betty Crocker. This recipe is one of Neens’ favorite dishes that he grew up eating, courtesy of his Mom. Recipe Details

BBQ Link Ingredients: *

1 package You favorite hot links

1/4 cup Brown sugar

1/2 cup KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Sweet Pineapple BBQ Sauce

1 package KING'S HAWAIIAN Hot Dog Buns

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Step 2
Make three angled slits in each hot link about ¼ of the way deep, being careful not to cut all the way through
Step 3
In medium size bowl, combine brown sugar and BBQ sauce. Toss links in BBQ Sauce and brown sugar mixture being sure to cover links thoroughly
Step 4
Set links and sauce mixture in pan and bake at 350 for 25- 30 mins
Step 5
While links are in oven, combine slaw ingredients in a bowl and set aside
Step 6
Build your roll: Bun, slaw, then hot links. Simple and good!
