1/3 cup Pineapple juice

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice

1 tablespoon garlic, grated

1 tablespoon Ginger, grated

1 tablespoon (or to taste) chili sauce, such as samba oelek or sriracha

(1) 3-pound pork butt or shoulder

2 cups pineapple, cut into small pieces

For the slaw: *

4 cups red cabbage, shredded

2 tablespoons lime juice or rice vinegar

1 teaspoon fish sauce or soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

For the sliders: *

12 King's Hawaiian Sweet Hawaiian Rolls, halved and toasted or grilled

12 chunks pineapple

1 bunch green onions sliced

Step 1
For the pulled pork: Mix all of the ingredients up to the pork butt, place the pork butt into the slow cooker, top with half of the sauce and the pineapple and cook on low of 8+ hours
Step 2
Remove the pork from the slow cooker, trim the fat, shred the pork and mix in the remaining sauce and enough of the juices from the slow cooker to make the pulled pork nice and juicy
Step 3
For the slaw: Mix everything and set aside.
Step 4
For the sliders: Top the bottom buns with the pineapple chunks followed by the pulled pork, slaw, green onions and the tops of the buns and enjoy!

If you have the time, marinate the pork butt in the pineapple char siu sauce overnight.
