Neens grew up in the island-style communities of San Diego. Far from Hawaii, but close to plate lunch, surfing and ukulele jammin, Neens is the creator of the Musubi Map and the I Love Poke Festival, both vehicles that reflect his passion for all things Hawaiian. He was raised on local-style home cooking thanks to his Mom, Gles, also known as the Filipina Betty Crocker. This recipe is one of Neens’ favorite dishes that he grew up eating, courtesy of his Mom. Thanks, Mom!

1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed

(1) 10 ounce can Rotelle

1 package King's Hawaiian Jalapeño Rolls

Step 1
Season slider patties with HOT taco seasoning and grill to your preferred temperature.
Step 2
In a saucepan, mix and melt Queso ingredients for about 5-10 minutes or until cheese melts.
Step 3
Build your Spicy Queso Sliders: Bottom roll, shredded lettuce, slider patty, queso, top roll. Use a toothpick to hold sliders together if needed.

Neens from Ono Yum says:

You can always make something spicier or milder. Add chopped jalapenos to the queso mix or use a regular taco seasoning rather than HOT if you want something with a little less kick!
