Add a Little Aloha to Thanksgiving

Hau'oli La Ho'omakika'i is Thanksgiving in Hawaiian and it's a time of year to give thanks with a bountiful table of food. From the aromas cooking in the kitchen to lazily relaxing on the couch, Thanksgiving is a holiday full of comfort.
Thanksgiving bounty is something to be cherished and shared. It’s a time of year to be grateful for your friends and be thankful for the generations of ohana that are a part of our lives.
The spirit of Hawaii is everywhere and whether you are from Hawaii or just miss the islands, there are plenty of ways to add a little "aloha" to Thanksgiving!
- Pineapple adds great flavor to cranberry sauce
- Instead of Kalua Pork, make Kalua Turkey!
- Stuffing made with Portuguese Sausage
- Alongside mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, why not add a little poi?
- Add chopped Macadamia Nuts to pie crusts
- Substitute coconut milk for heavy cream when making whipped cream
- Kukui nut leis and tropical Hawaiian flowers make festive wreaths and decor
